Observation of stars on the French Riviera
THE EHPAD of the Russian Red Cross of Nice offered to it employees an unusual summer trip organized by CAIRN EXPE. This original incentive was placed under the sign of the stargazing and the conviviality during an unusual dinner in nature and a night-hike.
As usual, we prepared them a custom-made program for this evening of the works council, so that they can take full advantage of this particular event.
An exclusif setting
It is at an altitude of 2000 meters that the CAIRN Expe team fussed in the task so that everything is ready before the arrival of the participants. Upon the arrival of their bus, the participants made a short walk and discovered with surprise a magnificent space fitted out in the middle of nowhere … With for backdrop an extraordinary sunset on French Riviera, sets was magnificent. Starlit night

All the participants had only a haste, that to dive into the immensity of the universe. To do it, CAIRN EXPE called on to the specialist of the team, the qualified astronomer of astrophysics: Thierry, who came specially for this star gazing.
Thanks to theses professional equipments: an astronomical telescope and a C11 telescope piloted by computer, our guests were able to observe with the biggest precision the celestial bodies of the solar system and the formations of the most distant stars. For example, Saturn and its ring, the Moon and its craters, Mars and its color of fire, Mercury, Jupiter and its streak, and so many others were there. We also observed celestial formations such as global nebulas, supernovae and other constellations.
All this was possible thanks to the leniency of the weather report which offered us a crystalline and convenient sky to stargazing.
Nocturnal and unsual hikes

Finally, all the participants were able to venture on an unusual experience, worth knowing a night-hike guided by the light of stars and our guides Cyril and Christian. Peacefully of the night, which happiness it was during the meeting with hinds, hares and other wild animals.
This hike in the massif of Authion, situated in zone heart of the National park of Mercantour, was also loaded of history with the discovery of some vestiges of the Second World War.
Unsual incentive around Nice
Thanks to a perfect organization, the participants left enchanted with this experience. They were able to find themselves last time around a campfire, accompanied with champagne and hot drinks, to take advantage last time of stars.
